Introduction
Hi everyone! We are the team of three enthusiasts who joined together to try our powers in game development as indie. Some of us already have experience in the industry, others are just probing this soil. We will try our best to deliver quality and finished product which you will enjoy. Our main goal is to bring fun to gameplay. We don’t have a name yet, so we are just a team.
Meet the team:
Olga
Our main artist who carefully hand draws all the graphics. She has a little experience in game dev art, but her skill grows every day.
Pavel
Experienced artist with over the 6 years in game dev, whos graphical works are perfectly suitable for cash/hyper cash games, but his vision can spread ideas on any other game genre. Within the project he helps us with spine animations, making them as smooth as possible.
Alexey (I am)
A programmer with over the 10 years of software engineering. I was always keep an eye on a game development and at one day I decided to do it myself. I’m still learning so the progress is not that fast as it could be, but it is!
Ours game development process is open for everyone. You can track tasks’ completion progress, read the GDDs (game design documents) and observe the development online (I mostly speak in Russian, but I can talk with you in English too). Most materials are in Russian, because it’s our native language and at this stage it’s important for us to understand each other clearly. But I will regularly report our development progress in English. By the way, if you familiar with a vision doc, then you can read ours in English.
As a team we are following our own goals on the way to achieving a general goal. Everyone learning something and any ideas is discussable and acceptable.
What are we doing?
Advanced Tutorial is a hardcore platformer in a fairytale setting with roguelite mechanics. Most often tutorial levels introduce the player with game’s basics, and after that the game itself begins. Advanced Tutorial is a level which stands between the tutorial level and the first level of the game. The player spawns there over and over again even after fulfilling all the level’s conditions. The aim of the player is to find a way out of the loop.
The game doesn’t have long and difficult levels with lots of platforms and similar enemies all the way. It consists just of three platforms and there are coins on them. That’s it. All the action starts when player begins his journey. Every run will not be the same as the previous one thanks to roguelite mechanics carefully applied to this game. Sounds interesting? Keep an eye on updates, where I will introduce you to the game mechanics and concepts. In the meantime try out a playable demo and try to figure out what’s happened here and how that can be a full game.
Feel free to ask anything in comments bellow! See you soon.
